Check out my fellow quillers

I just added a bunch of new (to me) blogs from fellow quillers. Check out their beautiful work! What do I love to do next to creating my own quilled artwork? Admire that of others, of course! Just go to the lefthand side of my blog and you'll see a long list of blogs. If you know of other quilling blogs that aren't there, please comment and let me know. I'd love to add them so that I can continue to admire the work of my fellow quillers. I'm grateful to be among these amazing artists!

UPDATE:

Along with these blogs and websites, I want to make sure you all are aware of the wonderful communities we quillers have available online to share our experiences, tips, and talents with one another. It's been valuable to me to have this online community since quilling is not so widespread as other arts.

Here's a listing of some of the online communities I know of. Again, if some of you other quillers know more, please comment and let the rest of us know. Thanks!

On Facebook:
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=566951033#!/home.php?sk=group_31795954879&ap=1

This group was started by Molly Smith - it's got roughly around 1,000 members from all around the world.

groups.yahoo.com:
quillers & quillpictures

If you're interested, you'll need to join both - one is for discussions and one is to post pictures. I believe I saw somewhere that it's been around since 1998. This has been one the best resources for me and I've made some great friends in this community. There are people from all over the world in this group. It's fantastic!

Quilled Creations Quilling Forum:

I think with this one you have to register. Not 100% sure as I don't use it, but I believe it's similar to the quillers group on yahoo. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

  1. Hi- I enjoyed your paper art blog list. You have a great selection of quillers. It is amazing how many quilling blogs there are and how talented everyone is.

  2. There is amazing talent out there! There are some from other countries that for some reason I cannot link to my blog - like:

    http://www.farooha.net/

She is from Dubai and I love her work. She does a lot of 3D figures, but also some exquisite 2D work.

If you are on Facebook, Molly Smith has a group - which I should link, come to think about it, that shows off a lot more talents, too.

  3. I loved your Blog, you should now start adding some of your demo videos or work pic. so that people who are new to quilling art, can also learn and experience the wonderful world of paper quilling..

  4. The main reason I haven't done any demo videos is because I'm kind of technologically challenged. Some of my friends have step by step instructions on their blogs, though - you can find them I know for sure at "Quilling, Art and Expression" (Antonella's blog) and "all things paper" (Ann's blog). I have to take my daughter to school in a minute, but when I get back home, I'll see if I can find exactly where on their blogs the instructions are and post the URLs here for you.

(Almost Antonella's entire blog is devoted to helping other quillers. She has many patterns and tutorials).

  7. Hello! I just found your blog and have enjoyed looking around (as you may have noticed by some of the comments)! I have quilled for about 4.5 years and am loving it. I agree the second best thing to creating quilled artwork is seeing the quilling done by others and being inspired. Here is a link to my humble little corner of the internet: www.TwirledPeace.wordpress.com
Peace to you and happy quilling! :)
